My Background
Dr. Adrian Manuel is the Founder & CEO of CoLAB Education and Founding Board Chair of Taíno CoLAB Charter High Schools. As former Executive Director of Merrick Academy Charter School, he has spent over 25 years designing educational systems that work for real students in real communities. He is the designer of the 4D Quantum Learning Matrix and other educational frameworks that have shaped schools across the country.
Why I Built This
Educators are the most important people in the AI conversation — and the most underserved. Every AI tool should work for teachers, not add to their burden. When I looked at what was available for educators, I saw a lot of hype and very little that was practical, tested, or built with classroom reality in mind. This platform exists to change that.
What I Believe
Teachers don't need more theory. They need tools that work Monday morning. School leaders don't need fear about AI — they need frameworks to lead with it. The educators I've worked with for 25 years are smart, dedicated, and time-poor. Everything I build here is designed with that reality in mind.
My Work
Through CoLAB Education, Dr. Manuel provides school design, curriculum development, and leadership coaching to schools and districts nationwide. Taíno CoLAB Academy is a living example of the deeper learning principles he has spent his career developing — a school that prepares students not just for college, but for life in a rapidly changing world.
